I started skiing at two years old and promptly threw myself on the ground crying and yelling to be taken off the hill because it was cold and scary. Eventually the instructors calmed me down and we got down the hill. Every run since then has started out better.
I have raced, worked as an instructor, spent a few years exploring big snow on the west coast, and been fortunate to ski many of the worlds famous ski resorts. Now I have come full circle, back to the mountain I grew up on, to be apart of the racing team and share some of my experience with the next generation of skiers.
Although not as fast as I once was, Mondays and Wednesdays I can still be found in the gates with other coaches or with the Masters Race Series trying my best to rekindle some of the old magic.
